R came to Singapore leaving behind his young wife and 2-year old daughter to improve the life for his family in a rural part of India so remote it has no internet access😲. As you may know, we have a patron who sponsors the monthly dinners we hold for these migrant brothers and sisters (see our blog 'Home-away-from-home')
R joined the dinner one evening and we surprised him with a bicycle for him to commute, run errands and save on transport. We have a kind sister who donated her stash of spare toothbrushes, tooth paste, shampoos and soaps collected from her many travels. Big shout out to Kim L.
We also received some NEW Disney and Hello Kitty school bags which he will be bringing home to his daughter next year. Donations from Jennifer.
A big thank you to bike donor - MCST of RB. Bike parts and repairs is unsponsored and so it's out of pocket for us. We will give an update when we receive sponsorship but hubby and I are not very good at fundraising 😭.
