David was making his way to deliver a bike (see here) when he noticed an elderly cleaner riding an oversized bike while collecting rubbish with tongs.
Fearing for uncle's safety, David approached uncle to speak with him. Uncle Huat revealed he had experienced a few falls before while riding. Fortunately, they were minor bruises. David explained our social enterprise's mission and assured Uncle that we would find a bike that suited him better.
A couple weeks later, a lady from the East donated her Vintage Dahon folding bike, a perfect fit for Uncle Huat! We immediately proceeded with the repairs and refurbishing.
Uncle Huat was smiling happily when received the bike. He also shared that he frequently felt unnoticed and lonely so he was very grateful to feel cared for.
Big thank you to bike donor Ms. E and to Mr. Peter K for sponsoring the repairs and refurbishment of the bike.
