This senior migrant worker has worked in Singapore many years. One day he brought his bike to be repaired (we do free repairs for the needy).
On checking his bike, David found it was too broken to repair (wheel hub broken), and many parts needed replacing.
When we presented him the donated bike, he was pleasantly surprised as he had secretly wanted a bike with a basket. We were very touched when Uncle explained it would help when he went grocery shopping - for his dorm mates! We're so glad the bike would be beneficial not only for 1 person but for a good Samaritan that will benefit many more.
Thank you Mr. Steve for donating the bike. We will recognize the repair sponsor when we receive sponsorships. At this point, we've come out of pocket first.
